Manor introduces energy saving multi-deck roll-in milk cabinets

Manor Refrigerated Cabinets has further extended its retail cabinet collection with the launch of an energy efficient multi-deck roll-in milk range. There will be two models available; both feature a high loading capacity with an unrestricted display, yet are custom built to save energy.

Keeping the complete stock of the dairy produce inside a roll-in cabinet at the required temperature is essential to increase the shelf life of the milk stored. Manor’s milk cabinets are being built with special features which ensure optimum performance whilst minimising their energy consumption.

Two key factors in the design of the cabinets contribute to significantly improved efficiencies. The first is the rear mounted evaporator; this unit delivers better than normal industry standard evaporation temperatures (-5 degrees C for the 2000mm model and -7 degrees C for the 2200mm model). The second contributory factor is a highly efficient air management system which circulates cold air around the entire cabinet maintaining a consistent temperature.

With such a high stock turnover in the dairy aisle, it is important that milk cabinets can hold a large volume of products whilst at the same time provide both retailer and shopper easy access to the dairy items on display.

The new Manor cabinets are merchandised with removable chariots to make the retailer’s task of stock replenishment a quick and simple procedure. The chariots have the added benefit of giving shoppers good visibility of the products.

The addition of two upper shelves to the cabinets significantly boosts their loading capacity. To maximise the storage area, the shelves have an increased depth.

There will be two models in Manor’s new roll-in milk range, one is 2000mm high and the other is a taller option standing at 2200mm. Each model is available in two different module lengths, either 2500mm or 3750mm. All of the cabinets have the option of a fitted front panel to reduce the traditional cold aisle effect of a roll-in cabinet.

Mike Tucker is the managing director of Manor Refrigerated Cabinets, he comments, “These new roll-in milk cabinets are an important addition to the Manor range. Our R & D team places particular emphasis on environmental issues as do our designers. They are always looking for new ways to ensure our cabinets offer the lowest possible energy consumption without compromising performance.

“Their dedication has resulted in this roll-in milk range which is not only a highly efficient option but also one that can be relied on to operate effectively.”
