Metal Component Manager

Manor Concepts is a UK Manufacturer of Commercial Refrigerated Cabinets and a wholly owned subsidiary of Arneg S.p.A. who is an International Market Leading Manufacturer with a world-wide presence.

Supplying directly to leading supermarket chains in the UK and Ireland and indirectly through a national network of independent Distributors.

The Position:-

Due to the companies continued growth, investment and development plans a position of Metal Component Manager has been identified.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with a proven track record within a modern manufacturing facility primarily based around sheet metal components and finishing. They will need to be able to demonstrate a good understanding or previous experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement / change management and the use of integrated manufacturing equipment.

Metal Component Manager:-

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Metal Component Manager will have responsibility for the complete production of all Sheet metal and components and sub-assemblies in conjunction with third party support for partial or fully finished components to Manor’s specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities:-

The candidate will undertake the following core tasks:

• Manage a team of between 40 people across the following functions:
• Sheet Metal department
• Powder Coating line
• CNC routers & component assembly
• Responsible for the manufacture of components and sub-assemblies to the production schedule
• Ensure the efficient use of production resources whilst maintaining a high standard of quality
• Continually review the production process with a view to generating lean improvements
• Manage Health and Safety
• Work closely with other functions to enable achievement of the delivery schedule
  

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills & experience:-

Confident with strong organisational and management skills to manage Sheet Metal & Component function.

• A minimum of 5 years proven managerial experience within a sheet metal environment
• Experience of modern automated and semi-automated equipment
• Experience of a Powder Coating and CNC routers and assemblies would be desirable
• Ability to ensure effective use of resources
• Experience or appreciation of lean methodologies
• Experience of process improvement
• Previous experience of MRP systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong Administration skills
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
